Over the past few years, knowing electrolysis has become a virtual necessity for aestheticians. These specialists use different techniques to remove unwanted hair, including electrolysis, thermolysis and the blend method, which is a combination of the first two methods. Aestheticians who perform electrolysis treat different areas of the body (e.g. lower and upper limbs, face, back, underarms). Electrolysis graduates are also trained to observe hygiene and safety rules. They are made aware of the importance of professional ethics and the need for safe and effective consultations. These graduates are usually employed in beauty salons; however, some decide to provide beauty-care services in their homes.
