Vocational Training
spacer
Everyday,in the midst of our occupations, we encounter an important number of vocational training graduates : cooks, hairstylists, sales persons, mechanics, nursing assistants, florists, aestheticians, dental assistants, secretaries, receptionists, etc. These qualified workers demonstrate their talents and competencies to the population in all fields of activities.

Vocational training allows students to learn a trade and find an interesting trade only after a year or two of study. The length of the programs vary from 600 to 1800 hours. Programs begin at various times throughout the year.

The student will receive a Diploma in Vocational Studies and a Statement of Competencies once the studies are completed : Two valuable passeports for work!

You can register for vocational training once you have earned a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or have succeeded in the core subjects (French, English and mathematics) secondary 3 or 4 level according to your selected training program.

In Québec, there are close to 170 programs leading to a Diploma in Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS). The majority (90%) of these programs have been developed based on the competencies approach and precisely meet the jobmarket requirements. These are ‘’winning diplomas’’! If you are looking for an intensive training leading to a recognized trade, the time has come for you to register in vocational training.
