Production Equipment Operation
spacer
Industrial-machine operators operate production machinery in different areas of industrial activity. Many different types of businesses covet their services, from those in the aeronautics industry to those in the food industry, not to mention machine shops.

Highly versatile, these workers have received training in electronics, electricity, welding, sheet-metal work and plumbing. Graduates therefore know how to operate a wide range of manufacturing and machine tools. Besides operating the machines, these specialists set them up, maintain them and even repair them. When given a new job order, they start by fetching the blueprints and the necessary machine parts. Then they take the machine apart, install the new machine parts, and finally make any adjustments so that the machinery can perform its new operations.
