Short Term Vocational Training Programs are offered by the five School Boards on the Island of Montréal. In the form of Skills Training Certificates (STC) or Part time Studies (PTS), these training programs are intended for adults (18 years and older) who wish to improve themselves in their work field or acquire new competencies in other training sectors or programs. They are also intended for employers who want to offer advance courses to their employees.

These training programs, which are inexpensive and last no more than 800h , offer course content based on practical apprenticeships in more than 20 vocational centres, easily accessible and fitted out with leading-edge equipment and technology. Courses are provided by experienced trainers, straight from business and industry and are offered with flexible schedules, designed to meet the needs of businesses and individuals.
